Lyah is a storyteller whose craft spans various mediums, a tradition rooted in her family‘s legacy. Her father was a celebrated jazz composer and trumpeter, while her late mother held the title of Poet Laureate Emeritus of St. Louis. Storytelling is central to Lyah’s work, influencing her filmmaking, video production, and podcasting endeavors. It is why that in the early stages of her career she established herself as an author, releasing eight books that include fiction, biographies, and young adult literature, along with contributions to several other publications.
